Zecomp ("we", "us") provides practical compensation tools for HR teams. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why, and what your rights are. Zecomp is operated by a sole trader based in New Zealand.
What we collect
When you use our free online tools, the data you enter into the tool itself (for example, headcount numbers in the gender representation forecast) is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to us or stored on our servers.
If you choose to unlock additional features, we ask for:
Your email address (required)
Optional information about your organisation: country or region, headcount band, industry, and sector type
Optional answers to a small number of questions about your reward practices (for example, which job evaluation system you use)
You can use the core tool without providing any of this. The optional questions are exactly that — optional.
Why we collect it
To send you occasional emails from Zecomp (you can unsubscribe at any time)
To understand, in aggregate, how organisations approach reward — which helps us build better tools and content
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where it's stored
Email addresses and the information above are stored in MailerLite, our email service provider. MailerLite processes this data on our behalf. You can read MailerLite's own privacy practices on their website.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (and, where it applies, the EU GDPR), you can:
Ask what personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct it
Ask us to delete it
Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email we send
